How much does this cost, and how are you paid?

My guidance is free to families and seniors. I'm paid a referral fee by the community you choose, when and if you move in, never by you. That fee doesn't change what a community charges you, and it doesn't influence which communities I recommend; I only suggest places I'd trust for my own family.

How is this different from going directly to a community?

When you go directly to a community, you're talking to their sales team, whose job is to fill that community's beds, not necessarily to find the best fit for your family. I don't work for any single community. I get to know your situation first, then recommend from communities across the Bay Area based on fit, not on where I'm employed.

How quickly can you help after a hospital discharge?

Hospital discharges often need to happen within days. Because I already have relationships with communities across the Bay Area, I can usually put together a short list within a day or two of our first call, fast enough to match a discharge timeline without sacrificing fit.

What's the difference between assisted living and memory care?

Accepted Answer

Assisted living provides help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and medication in a private living space. Memory care is a secured environment with staff trained specifically in dementia care, built around the safety and routine that memory loss requires. Many communities offer both, and residents can move into memory care if and when their needs change.

Never. My recommendations are exactly that: recommendations. You decide which communities to tour, and you decide whether to move forward with any of them. There's no pressure and no obligation at any point.
